Adults and teens can make an origami wreath.

SILVER CREEK — Anderson-Lee Library, located at 43 Main Street has announced their programming for the month of December. Programs are free and open to the public. Registration is required unless stated otherwise, to ensure enough seating and materials for all patrons attending the program. To register for programs, call the library at 934-3468, stop by 43 Main St., message us on Facebook, or visit www.andersonleelibrary.org and click on our events tab for easy online registration. You can also sign up for email/text reminders when you register online!

The library will be closed Dec. 24 and 25 for Christmas and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 for New Year’s.

Activities for Kids

Preschool Storytime for children ages 2-5 on Thursday mornings Dec. 9 and 16 with Miss Jill and Molly at 10:30 a.m.

Children will participate in reading, singing, rhymes and fun crafts. There is a limit of 10 children and pre-registration is requested.

School Age Storytime for children 6-12 years of age on Thursday mornings December 2, 9, and 16 at 10:30 am with Miss Amy. Stories, crafts, games, and other activities are offered. Great for homeschooling families! There is a limit of 6 children and pre-registration is requested.

Lego Club for ages 5-12, Thursday, Dec. 9 at 6:30 p.m. Build the challenge of the day, pick a challenge card or free build. Your choice! Limit of 10 children and pre-registration is requested.

Take and Make

Take and Make Kits for December will be available on Monday and are available on a first come, first served basis. For December, kids can pick up a bag of supplies to make a Grinch or Frosty the Snowman bath pouf ornament. Adults and teens can pick up a bag of supplies to make an Origami Wreath. An evening with Isaiah Rashad, II, M.Div.GL. Join ISAIAH RASHAD, II – M.Div.GL for a discussion of his book “Homicide of a Rat”.

And, you may just discover that what you believe to be wrong, may just be right. Please pre-register so that adequate seating may be set up.

Fun for all ages

Celebrate National French Toast Day! We are celebrating National French Toast Day!? Stop by the library anytime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. for a slice of French Toast today, Dec. 4. Lots of toppings will be available to create your own tasty treat! Please pre-register to ensure enough supplies for all.

Make a Gingerbread House! Saturday, Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. All ages are invited to create your own Gingerbread House. Graham Crackers, frosting and lots of decorations will be available for you to create your own custom confection! Pre-Registration for 20 participants is available and required to ensure enough materials for all.

Anderson-Lee Library is open to the public Monday and Tuesday from noon to 8 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday noon to 5 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The library is closed Wednesday and Sunday. Fax and copy service is available anytime the library is open. Those entering the library who are unvaccinated must wear a mask.
