The ceremony began with speeches from student speakers Sydney Dahl of Pine Valley and Asia Lindgren of Gowanda.

“I have made new friends during my time in the Small Animal Science program,” Dahl said. “We’ve all become so close, and I’m sad to say this is our last day together, but I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished.”

Lindgren, a Health Careers student, credited her family for reminding her of her worth and capability.

“Since the day I stepped foot on the LoGuidice campus, I’ve been inspired to further my steps to ensure my future which includes attending Onondaga Community College majoring in Human Services to become a social worker,” Lindgren said. “This program is special because it allows young people to learn what they want to do after high school.”

Before the recognition of seniors, several awards were distributed, including Unified Support Assn. Students enrolled in the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES CTE programs earned many certifications depending on their program, including OSHA-10 Certification, Certified Nursing Assistant, and Cosmetology License, to name a few.
