Gowanda High School senior Jada Geiger is leaving it all on the field as she becomes a winner in the Heisman High School Scholarship competition. The Heisman Trophy Trust selected the 2022 School Winners for the Heisman High School Scholarship from an applicant pool of thousands of high school scholar-athletes graduating with the class of 2023. The program honors the nation’s most accomplished, community-minded high school senior athletes. Geiger, a member of the Class of 2023 who has participated in volleyball, soccer, cheer and softball at GHS, joins more than 5,700 students named winners in the competition. Winners continue on for the chance to become state winners, national finalists or national winners. State winners receive a $1,000 college scholarship, national finalists receive a $2,000 college scholarship and the male and female national winners will each receive a $10,000 college scholarship.
