Top graduating Forestville seniors are announced
FORESTVILLE — The top students of the Forestville Central School Class of 2022 have been announced.
Makayla Marie Press, daughter of Melissa and Michael Press, has been named the valedictorian.
She was the setter on the volleyball team and a sprinter on the track team. As a member of the band program, she plays alto saxophone in marching and concert band, and plays piano in jazz and pit band. She is a member of Spanish Honor Society and National Honor Society and was selected as a representative at the Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership Convention in 2020.
This fall Makayla will be attending the University of Rochester. She plans on majoring in Molecular Genetics with a minor in music.
Samuel Andrew Reuben, son of Peter and Tammy Reuben, has been named the salutatorian.
He is a member of the National Honor Society. He was also a forward and captain on the basketball team, where he received the league sportsmanship award. He was also a member of the band, jazz band, and ski club. He served as class president for three years. He maintained his place on the high honor roll for all four years of high school with an overall GPA of 103.44.
Sam plans on pursuing a career in watchmaking.
