Top students are named in Brocton
BROCTON — The students for December have been named by Brocton Central Schools.
Alex Pfleuger was selected by the Brocton Middle School faculty and staff. He is currently an eighth-grader and resides in Brocton with his parents, Luke and Valerie Sanders. His hobbies include riding his four-wheeler and going to Stateline Speedway. His favorite subjects are science and math.
Colie Bundy was selected by the Brocton High School faculty and staff.
Bundy is a freshman and resides in Brocton with her parents, Leah and Brian Bundy.
She was a midfielder for the Westfield-Brocton girls varsity soccer team. She is also a member of the basketball and softball teams.
She is a member of the Brocton High School Band and plays a variety of instruments, with her main being the bassoon.
She also is president for both the Class of 2026 and the National Junior Honor Society. She is also the treasurer of the Brocton Rotary Interact Club.
Her accolades include being named to High Honor Roll and the highest eighth-grade GPA of her class.
She volunteers with the Brocton Summer Recreation program and credits her experience for teaching her how to take care of a large group of children and have fun while doing it.
Her favorite subject is physical education.
In the future, Bundy plans to continue helping her community and volunteering her time to better herself and the people around her. She plans to attend college and have a successful career.
