The Dunkirk Police Department is asking the public’s help in identifying a person tied to a reported bank robbery Wednesday.

A little after 1 p.m., officers responded to the KeyBank location, 51 E. Fourth St., in the city after receiving word of a robbery. The branch is located about two blocks from the police station.

Dunkirk police released two photographs of the alleged suspect; however, further information, including the person’s gender and whether any money was obtained, was not released by the department.

Anyone with information regarding Wednesday’s hold up is asked to contact the Dunkirk Police Department at 716-366-2266 or the confidential tipline at 363-0313.

A sign said the Dunkirk KeyBank location was “temporarily closed” and advised customers to use its Angola branch.

Starting at $2.99/week.
