What a night for Kate Wdowiasz.

A newcomer to Dunkirk politics defeated Dave Damico in the race for mayor by a 1,221 to 1,164 margin. At this point the absentee ballots are unknown.

Incumbent Natalie Luczkowiak defeated Don Williams for First Ward. Second Ward was won by Abby Yerico with Third and Fourth Ward incumbents James Stoyle and Nancy Nichols winning. Nick Weiser won for at-large.

In Fredonia, Michael Ferguson won handily over write-in candidate Athanasia Landia while there were some surprises for trustee. Incumbent Jon Espersen won as did newcomers Paul Wandel and Ben Brauchler. James Lynden and David Bird did not win re-election.
