A Lakewood fast-food business has a new property management company, while a couple of nearby restaurants have new owners running them.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the sales from Oct. 21-31.

During this time period, Chautauqua Mall Realty Holding, LLC of Great Neck, NY sold 318 Fairmount Ave., Lakewood to Paramount Investment Group, LLC Compton, Calif. for $1.2 million. A document in the sale calls the property an “outparcel” for Taco Bell.

In the town of Busti, there were two other restaurants that have new owners.

Debra Schuyler sold 4477 West Fairmount Ave. as well as lots of 4th St. and 5th St. Busti, to CHQ Ventures, LLC of Williamsville for $450,000. This is the location of Schuyler’s Country Kitchen. On Nov. 2, the owners of Lake Life Cafe in Bemus Point announced on Facebook that they are the new owners of Schuyler’s Kitchen in Lakewood. “We are so excited to continue on Deb’s legacy at this amazing establishment,” they wrote.

Christine Fosberg sold 792 Busti-Sugar Grove Road, Busti to MSSC Development, LLC of Falconer for $130,000. This is the location of Busti Tap House. On Oct. 25, the Busti Tap House announced on Facebook that new management was taking over the establishment. It officially reopened to the public on Jan. 24.

Another established business that has new ownership is the Bemus Point Market. John and Ruth Marsh sold 12 Main St., Bemus Point, to Food for Bemus, LLC of Ashville for $430,000. On Facebook, Bemus Point Market announced Dec. 31 that they were under new ownership. After being closed in January, the business reopened Feb. 1.

In Jamestown, a former restaurant has a new use. Jamestown Regional Properties, LLC of Mayville sold 235 Fluvanna Ave., Jamestown to North Eastern Equipment Sales and Rentals, LLC of Olean for $75,000. This is the former location of The Eatery. The building is now North Eastern Equipment Sales & Rentals, Inc.

Including the sales previously mentioned from Oct. 21-31 there were nine sales that were $250,000 or higher. The remaining top sales are as follows:

– 9 Crawford Lane, Lakewood sold for $389,000.

– St. Elmo Condominium Unit No. 305, 1 N. Pratt Ave., Chautauqua Institution, town of Chautauqua sold for $380,000.

– 4406 W. Lake Road, Unit 26, Chautauqua town sold for $319,130.

– 7798 Aldrich Hill Road, Cherry Creek sold for $316,000.

– 10 Peck Ave., Chautauqua Institution sold for $270,000.
