A parcel owned by the city of Jamestown has been sold in order to facilitate a local business’ development.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from Aug. 27-30.

During this time period, the city of Jamestown sold 212 West Second St., Jamestown to TLJKBJ, LLC of Jamestown for $1,000.

According to Jamestown Development Director Crystal Surdyk, the sale was to facilitate the patio expansion project at Shawbucks. “It is a section of right-of-way that the city will maintain utility access to via an easement and will provide Shawbucks with the necessary extra space they need to build their outdoor patio structure,” she said.

From Aug. 27-30, there were 10 sales that were $250,000 or higher. The full is as follows:

— 2232 Shadyside Road, Mina was sold for $820,000.

— 20 Maple Ave., Chautauqua Institution was sold for $660,001.

— 5 Roberts Ave., Chautauqua Institution, town of Chautauqua was sold for $509,000.

— Unit 2, Warrawee Condominium, Concord Avenue, Chautauqua town was sold for $547,500.

— 150 Lakeside Drive, Bemus Point sold for $530,000.

— 130 West Lake Road, Mayville sold for $430,000.

— 4977 Main St., Ellery sold for $360,000.

— 16 Mont Alto Dr., Jamestown sold for $315,000.

— Condominium Unit No. A-10, Chautauqua Lake Estates, Chautauqua town sold for $265,000.

— 212 Emory Drive, Jamestown sold for $250,000.
