Dunkirk sixth-graders receive educational tour of WNY P-TECH

Sixth-graders from Dunkirk City Schools visited WNY P-TECH to learn about the different pathways and to participate in a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) activity.

During their visit, students completed an egg drop experiment with Principal Jeffrey Teluk’s assistance and toured the Dunkirk building; 10 current WNY P-TECH students helped with the event.

“Our P-TECH students did an awesome job explaining the different pathways and helping students with the STEAM activity,” said Nicole Donato, WNY P-TECH school counselor. “It was a nice introduction to P-TECH for the Dunkirk sixth graders and a good opportunity for some of our P-TECH students to demonstrate their leadership and teamwork skills.”
