Cutting it close: Silver Creek hosts Bald For Bucks March 21

SILVER CREEK — For the sixth time, Silver Creek students will be given an opportunity to get one the most impactful haircuts of their lives.
On Friday morning, Silver Creek’s Knights Against Cancer hosts the school’s sixth annual Bald for Bucks event in the High School Auditorium. Students and staff will shave their heads and cut their hair to benefit cancer research at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Knights Against Cancer hopes to surpass the $20,000 benchmark when adding this year’s fundraising to their five-year total. Some highlights to look forward to include the Knights Against Cancer student president shaving her brother’s head on stage and KAC advisor Jessica Kardashian cutting her hair (again) for this cause. KAC club members will also have braiding and tinsel available for onlookers and bracelets all for donations.
The event is not open to the general public. For more information, contact Nicole Gugino at publicrelations@silvercreekschools.org.
