Christine E. Cybulski

Christine E. “Chris” Cybulski, 63, of Dunkirk died Wednesday morning (Aug. 31, 2016) at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo following a brief illness.

She was born Oct. 4, 1952 in Schenectady, the daughter of Marjorie (Melick) Hagen of Amsterdam and the late Lloyd Hagen.

A resident of the area for most of her life, Chris had been employed as a social worker for the Chautauqua County Department of Social Services. She loved to work in the garden, decorate her house, go to yard sales and to the beach.

Besides her mother, she is survived by two daughters, Amy Cybulski of West Seneca and Sgt. Bethany Cybulski of Fort Riley, Kansas; one granddaughter, Ava Sasser; one brother, Norman (Jan) Hagen of Amsterdam; one sister-in-law, Mariam “Cis” Speziale of Pittsburgh; one niece, Erica Hagen; and two nephews, Lance and Chad Speziale.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Cybulski, who died March 30, 2013; her infant daughter, Mary Louise Cybulski; her stepson, William Cybulski; twin brothers, Erik and Glenn Hagen; brother, Eric Hagen; and her nephew, Daniel Hagen.

Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10:15 from the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, fol-lowed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 o’clock in Holy Trinity Church. Cal-ling hours will be held Sun-day from 3-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
