Jewel L. (Hallmark) Sullivan

Jewel L. (Hallmark) Sullivan, 84, of Fredonia, New York passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, January 4, 2017 at Brooks Memorial Hospital in Dunkirk, New York surrounded by her loving family.

Jewel was born on May 9, 1932 and was the daughter of the late Clarence D. and Rilla Johnson Hallmark. Jewel was a retired employee of the Dunkirk Ice Cream Plant of Dunkirk, New York but was best known as the sassiest Bingo player in this whole area. The only thing she loved better than Bingo was her family.

She is survived by her children, Richard Sullivan of Amherst, New York, Judy (Ernest) Crampton of Fredonia, New York, Phyllis (Mark) Webber of Fredonia, New York, Marlene (Dudley) Williams of Brocton, New York and Cynthia Polowy of Fredonia, New York; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Jesse, in 1989; and two sons, Marvin and David.

There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A Celebration of Jewel’s Life will be held for family and friends on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion John W. Dill Post 434, 110 West Main St., Brocton, New York. Funeral arrangements are being provided by the Morse Funeral Home of Brocton, New York.
