Daniel R. Schrantz, 69, of Eagle Forest Road, Great Valley, passed away Monday, August 6th, 2018, at his residence. He was born in Dunkirk, on March 18, 1949, the son of the late Richard L. and Jacqueline (Miller) Schrantz. Mr. Schrantz was a graduate of the former Cardinal Mindszenty High School, Dunkirk, Class of 1967, a graduate of Fredonia State University and receive his Master’s Degree
from Michigan State University. He worked as an Economics Professor for Jamestown Community College, Jamestown, for 20 years. Mr. Schrantz also previously worked for Fredonia State University as an Adjunct Professor. He enjoyed white water rafting, building houses, hunting with family and gardening. Survivors include a daughter, Chantel Perez, of Williamsville and a brother, Richard (Theresa) Schrantz, of Fredonia. Also surviving are his girlfriend Colleen Savage of Buffalo, a nephew, two great nieces, a great nephew and several aunts & uncles. Services are private and at the convenience of family. A Celebration of Life will be held for friends at a later date. Time & placed to be announced.
