Mary A. Kolassa

She was born Dec. 25, 1943, in Oldenburg, Germany, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Malkus) Rozek.

A resident of Fredonia for most of her life, Mary was a graduate of Gowanda High School, class of 1963.

She had been employed by the Chautauqua County Buildings and Grounds and was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Fredonia.

An avid Buffalo Bills fan, she enjoyed puzzles, going to the casinos, and playing bingo.

Survivors include two sons: James Kolassa of Fredonia and Stephen Kolassa of Dunkirk; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Kolassa, who died May 4, 2021; and one brother, John Rozek.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
