Andrew Finn
Andrew Finn, 54 of Fredonia, N.Y. died Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Born Jan. 30, 1968, in Olean, N.Y., he was the son Mary Kennedy Finn and the late Donald Finn. He was married on June 29, 1991, in Salamanca, N.Y., to the former Linda Geiger, who survives.
Mr. Finn was a graduate of Salamanca High School, class of 1986 and Alfred State College, class of 1989.
He had been employed as a maintenance electrician with Weber Knapp Co, Jamestown, N.Y., for over 20 years, retiring in 2008.
Andy enjoyed spending time with his family. He will be remembered for always racing to see who could run faster against his nieces and brother. In his younger years, he enjoyed baseball/softball, hockey, speed skating, and golf. He was an avid Las Vegas Raiders, Kansas City Royals, and Milwaukee Bucks fan.
Surviving besides his wife and mother surviving are a son, Ryan Finn, Fredonia, N.Y.; a granddaughter, McKinley Finn, Fredonia, N.Y.; two sisters: Michelle “Shelly” Finn, Buffalo, N.Y., and Cynthia (Mike) Armagost, Salamanca, N.Y.; a brother, Matt (Eileen) Finn, Ellicottville, NY; and several other family members.
He was predeceased by two sisters: Becky Finn and infant, Maureen Finn.
There will be no visitation.
Honoring Andrew’s wishes, he participated in the anatomical gift program at the University of Buffalo.
A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family and will be announced.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to Chautauqua County Hospice or Little League Baseball, PO Box 3485, 539 US Route 15 Highway, Williamsport, PA 17701-0485.
