Edward Hugh Dragon
Edward Hugh Dragon, 61, of Dunkirk, died suddenly on Thursday, Nov. 17 from a heart attack.
Ed was born at Brooks Memorial Hospital on June 13,1961, the son of Robert and Elaine Dragon.
He attended Dunkirk schools and then served in the U.S. Navy for six years, including serving aboard the USS Sylvania during the 1983 invasion of Grenada.
Ed was incredibly proud of his service to our country and would fondly recount stories from this time.
After returning to Dunkirk, Ed worked at A. Sam & Sons in the packing department, then Fieldbrook Farms Inc, and then with Kelly Services at the Dunkirk Purina Plant.
Ed, nicknamed “Puff” by the crew, served as a volunteer firefighter at City Hose 2 for 27 years. He was a member of local clubs including the Columbus Club, the World War II Veterans and the Dunkirk Moose Club.
Ed is survived by his siblings: Gerald Dragon of Forestville, and Jacqueline Dragon of Burlington, Vt.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring or summertime.
