Mary Louise Faso
Mary Louise Faso passed away July 11, 2023, at Broward North Hospital in Deerfield Beach, Florida following a brief illness. Mary Lou was born in Buffalo, NY, Feb. 4, 1935, to the late Ross and Grace Marotto Connelly. She moved to Jamestown, NY at age 8, graduated from Jamestown High School in 1952, and married Carl Faso on October 27, 1956.
Mary Lou worked at Alltel, starting in Jamestown as a long-distance telephone operator, and then as an Operator Services Supervisor until 1978. She was promoted to Manager of Operator Services, and transferred to the office in Fulton, NY. Once operators were phased out in 1983, she transitioned to Customer Service Manager until relocating back to Jamestown in 1992. Following a merger, she took early retirement in 1993. In 1996, Mary Lou and Carl relocated to Deerfield Beach, FL. Carl always said it was their paradise.
She and her husband were communicants of St. James Church in Jamestown, NY, Holy Family in Fulton, NY, and St. Ambrose in Deerfield Beach, FL.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her loving husband Carl in 2001, her parents Ross and Grace Marotto Connelly, and nephews Robert (Bobby) Manno and Doug Connelly.
Surviving are Daughters Cynthia (Tom) McLinn, Carla (John) Christopher. Grandchildren Chad Agate, Joe Agate, Elizabeth (Max) Taylor, Christine McLinn, Giovanna (Ron) Duprey. Great grandchildren Dominick Agate, Kyla Agate, Arlo Taylor, Isabella Duprey, Sophia Duprey, Giada Duprey. Brothers Ross Connelly, Ralph (Barb) Connelly and Sister, Marilyn (Frank) Trusso. In addition, she will be missed by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and loving cousins across the country.
Love and gratitude to niece and nephew Andrea and Michael Taylor, who were always there for her in the many years she was in Florida. Lulu was sorry she couldn’t make it to 120 as they always told her she would.
