Arnold L. Smith

He was born on July 24, 1940 in Gowanda, NY the son of the late Roland and Hazel (Arnold) Smith.

Arnie married the former Judith Lindquist who predeceased him on December 27, 2017.

He had previously worked as a Truck Driver for many years, and later worked as an Operator at the West Valley Nuclear Plant until his retirement.

Arnie was a member of the Collins Center Cemetery Association, Gowanda Lions Club, Gowanda Free Methodist Church, Gowanda Pistol Club.He also was a Lifetime Member of the NRA and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He is survived by his children Matthew Smith, Cami (Scott) Williams, Roland“Scott”(Letty) Smith, Daniel (Krissy) Smith andChristine Cooper also his daughter in law Sandy Smith.Also surviving are 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Besides his wife he is predeceased by a son Arnie Ray Smith and his sisters Marlene Valentine and Bonnie Diblasi.

Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 105 East Main Street in Gowanda,NY on Friday December 8, 2023 from 4-6pm.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 6pm from the funeral home.

Burial will be in Collins Center Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Charity of the Donor’s choice.
