Milagros Rosas Pagan

Milagros Rosas Pagan, 82, of Dunkirk passed away Sunday evening, October 27, 2024 at the Chautauqua Nursing and Rehab Center with her loving family by her side. Born in San German, Puerto Rico on January 9, 1942, daughter of the late Ramon Rosas Santos and Julia (Vega Montaz) Rosas.

Milagros attended Escuela Superior de Moncerrate in Hormigueros, Puerto Rico and later she attended the Continental School of Beauty in Buffalo.

She worked as a Machine Operator for Red Wing in Fredonia for over 33 years. In addition to her professional work, she ran her own beauty salon from home.

A loving family member, Milagros cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren, who she regarded as the light of her life. Her siblings were not just family but also her closest friends, enriching her life with their shared memories and love. Her generous nature shone through in her willingness to assist anyone in need, and her infectious spirit brought joy to those around her.

Beyond her family and work, Milagros had a passion for dancing, music, and cooking. Her ability to connect with various genres of music and her culinary skills were just a few of the many ways she shared joy with others.

Her pride in her heritage was a significant part of her identity, and she embodied elegance and grace, always dressing impeccably.

Milagros was a devoted follower of God and served as a Eucharistic Minister for Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, an accomplishment of which she was particularly proud. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her actions and interactions with others.

Surviving are her loving children Neldy Pagan, Edwin (Molly) Pagan, and Brunilda Pagan; grandchildren Natasha Nicole Ruiz, Vanessa, Jenavive and Matthew Pagan; great-grandchildren Joshua and Jayden David, Jonas and Jaliyana Marshall, Ezra, Aven, Wila and Mila Sheldon; siblings Gilberto Rosas, Rosita Rosas Jauregui, Rafael, Wilfredo, Antonio, Wilson, William, Olga, Nilda, and Jenoveva Rosas.

Preceding Milagros is her Husband Angel G. Pagan Sr., son Angel G. Pagan Jr.; granddaughter Christina Ruiz; parents Ramon Rosas Santos and Julia (Vega Montaz) Rosas; siblings Jesus, Manuel, Hector, Luis, Edyl, and Marcelina Rosas, Aida Rosas Santiago, and Margarita Rosas Valentine.

Friends and family are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at 10 a.m. at Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery.
