Robert F. Aderman

Born in Angola, NY April 16, 1935 the son of Fred and Helen (Omphalius) Aderman.

A veteran, Rob served with the National Guard. He married Joan A. Crow at the First Presbyterian Church in Springville, NY on May 15, 1965. Together, they have four children.

Robert worked for more than 35 years for the Gernatt Family of Companies. At the time of his retirement, he was an asphalt operator. He enjoyed his home where he raised cattle, he also enjoyed tending to various vegetable and flower gardens. He especially found enjoyment and satisfaction with his roses. Rob was the go to guy for several years getting cattle to the Erie Co. Fair. His children were involved with 4-H and showing their livestock at the fair. Rob was a member of The Gowanda Moose Lodge 1382 where he held various positions and chapter heads within the lodge. Rob was an exempt member of the Collins Center Volunteer Fire Dept., he also was a social member of the Gowanda American Legion Post 409, and the James Cruden VFW Post 5007 both of Gowanda.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years Joan A. (Crow) Aderman, their children; Jackie (Paul) Gentner of Indiana, late Robert “Fritz” Aderman (July 17, 2021), Douglas S. Aderman of Collins, and Kathy (Dan) Scull of Virginia. Grandchildren; Nina (Mike) Ramey and Jeremy (Leyanne) Gentner. Rob is also survived by 3 sisters; Allene (late Richard), Ruth (late Robert “Bert”) Kehr and Edith (Dennis) Chmiel all of Lawtons, NY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
