Angela M. Eklund
Angela M. Eklund (nee Frost), 60, of Cherry Creek, NY, passed away peacefully on Oct. 24, 2024. Born on Nov. 19, 1964, in Trenton, MI, Angela was a cherished daughter, mother, grandmother, companion, and friend, whose vibrant spirit and warm heart left an indelible mark on the lives she touched.
Angela graduated from Pine Valley Central School and later pursued her passion for justice and order by earning her degree at JBC for Criminal Justice. Continuing her dedication to serving the community, she graduated from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Academy, which laid the foundation for her commendable career. Her professional journey led her to work for various law offices within the area, and she also served the WNYDDSO in Dunkirk and Fredonia, NY. With a natural flair for vitality and movement, Angela shared her enthusiasm as an aerobics instructor, bringing the joy of health and fitness to many.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Angela was devoted to her family and is survived by her beloved mother, Alice Hunt; her adoring daughter, Haley (Nate Studley) Eklund, and cherished grandchild, Leah Studley. Her life was enriched by the companionship of Kevin Macey. She will be fondly remembered by her ex-husband, Jeff (Lisa) Eklund, and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss her bright presence. Angela was predeceased by her father, James Frost, step-father, Chuck Hunt, and her sister, Alyson M. Frost.
A true Bills fan, Angela exuded passion for her favorite team, the Buffalo Bills. Her love extended to her precious dogs, Bentley Charles and Hank, with whom she shared many joyful moments. Angela found solace in her garden, nurturing plants with the same care she gave to her relationships. Her legacy of love and commitment to her family, especially her cherished daughter Haley and her mother, will be her lasting gift to those who knew her.
Angela’s zest for life, commitment to her career, and the love she held for her family and friends make her memory a beacon of inspiration and warmth. Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to guide and inspire all who were privileged to know her.
Relatives and Friends may visit DiStasio Funeral Home 478 Route 83 South Dayton, NY Monday Nov. 4, 2024 from 1 to 3pm where a funeral service will immediately follow.
Interment will be in Cherry Creek Central Cemetery.
