Barbara A. Amrozowicz
Barbara A. Amrozowicz, 80, of Irving, NY passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, November 8, 2024 at her home comforted by family and friends.
Barb was born on August 8, 1944 in Buffalo, NY, the daughter of the late Anthony and Anastasia (nee Zulawski) Sienko; beloved wife of the late Louis Neubauer and Edmund Amrozowicz.
Barb also loved and cared for her companion of 21 yrs Carl Newton until his death in 2007.
Barb (Sophie) as she was known by many worked at the former Lakeshore Hospital in Irving, NY for 28 yrs as a RN in the OR, leaving in 1984 to care for her loving spouse Edmund during his battle with cancer. She returned to the workforce in 1985 at Buffalo General Hospital for 10 yrs working in labor and delivery, which she truly loved. After Barb’s nursing career ended she managed the Silver Creek Village Mobile home park in Silver Creek, NY, where everybody was family up until the devastating flood of 2009 destroyed it. She also was a large part of the rebuilding the park after the devastation, she remained there until 2020.She then moved to Irving, NY to reside with her daughter Lori and family.
Barb , Mom, Gram Barb and Barbie as she was known by many is survived by her daughter, Lori (Larry)Reynolds and a son James “Jimmy” Neubauer both of Irving, NY.
The shining stars of her life were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who she could not say enough about they were her proudest moments, eight cherished grandchildren, Eric (Sarah) and Matthew (Sara) Mazurek, Katie and Cody Schrader, Dalton (Courtney) Neubauer, Cheyanne (Tillman) Hilliker, Tonya Russo, and Matthew (Michele) Reynolds; ten great-grandchildren, Brady, Brynn, MaKenna, Maverick , Nicolette, Wyatt, Walker, Gracelyn, Noah and Avery. Barb is also survived by her estranged daughter and family, Nettie (Mark) Schrader of Sheridan, NY.
As per Barb’s wishes there will be no public visitation, a Celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hole-Parker Funeral Chapel, 160 Central Ave. Silver Creek, NY.
