Donna B. Town-McKune-Goldberg

Donna B. Town-McKune-Goldberg, 76, of Fredonia, N.Y. passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Donna was born on March 10, 1948 to parents Harold W. Town Sr. and Marjorie E. Town of Ashville, N.Y.

Donna spent her formative years in Ashville, N.Y. and was a member of the class of 1966 at Panama High school.

She moved to Forestville, N.Y. where she raised her children. There she worked at the Ole Firehouse Restaurant, before becoming a C.N.A. and working at Lakeshore Nursing Home, retiring in 1989.

Donna loved learning about family genealogy, especially when she discovered that she was a distant cousin to Lucille Ball. With the help of her loving Niece Susan Scarantino, she learned that her genealogy reached back to the Salem Witch Trials. Upon further investigation, she is a direct descendant of Rebecca Towne Nurse and Mary Towne Easty, two sisters that were hung.

Donna was a loyal Buffalo Bills fan and loved Jim Kelly and Josh Allen. She loved Dale Earnhart and Elvis Presley, who she saw in person. Her heart and life were full of many pets, especially rescues.

She was a collector of all things. She spent countless hours assisting with estate sales, auctions, and yard sales, a true passion of hers. Recently, she worked towards becoming a Member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution, DAR. She was truly proud of this achievement.

She will be greatly missed and is survived by her husband, John M. Goldberg; a loving daughter Dianna (Chris) Stoker of Wichita, Kansas; a loving son Darrin (Thomas Mills) McKune of Canisteo, New York; fourteen cherished grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; cousin, Cheryl Manning of Melbourne, Florida; her great niece Tori Scarantino and her partner Brandon Crooks, a very special friend; Sharon Buesink a very special friend; many friends and family members.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Marjorie Town; her In-Laws James and Mary Lou Goldberg; her brother, Harold W. Town Jr.; Niece, Susan Scarantino; and nephew Kurt W. Town.

As per Donna’s wishes no funeral service or visitation will be observed.
