Elaine Margaret (Borowski) Klaybor
Elaine Margaret (Borowski) Klaybor passed away peacefully under hospice care on Tuesday November 5 in Orange Park FL.
Born June 3, 1932 the oldest child of Joseph Borowski and Margaret (Ceranowicz), Elaine was raised in Dunkirk.
She attended school at St Hyacinths and went on to graduate from Dunkirk High school. Elaine worked at Van Raalte for a few years where she met her future husband.
In April of 1953 Elaine married Robert J Klaybor. They eventually settled on Mullet St and spent the next 20 + years there. She raised five children over the years and created a loving home for all.
Elaine was known for decorating the whole house for Christmas and always welcoming of everyone. With her sons in band, she hosted exchange students from other counties. Elaine had many jobs over the years at the Frank Acquavia Post, Cease’s bakery and Great Lakes Color Printing. She loved Polka and jazz music and could cut a pretty good rug in her day. Elaine made sure all her kids took dance lessons and we all thank her for that to this day! Even when times were tough, she always had a smile. Always a friendly face to family, friends, and strangers alike. Elaine always seemed to know everyone in town!
In 1983 Elaine moved to Ocala Florida as her dream was always to live there and have a palm tree in her yard. She continued to work for many years and even went back to school and earned a degree in 2000.
With children all over the county, in 2001 she moved to Orange Park Florida to be near her sons. She cherished being able to be in a few of her Grandchildren’s daily lives. She also made many trips to Minnesota and New York and North Carolina to visit her children and grandchildren.
In 2012 all of her children and grandchildren gathered for her 80th birthday celebration in Jacksonville.
Elaine was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren. She loved them all deeply and never left a call without conveying her love.
In October 2024 she moved to Brookdale Assisted living with Hospice care.
Elaine is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert, her sister Judith Kuschel and brother-in-law James Kuschel.
Elaine is survived by her siblings Marcie (Harry) Lehan, Janet Lasker, and Joseph (Beverly) Borowski. Her children Lynn (Tom Naslund) Klaybor, Ann (Ray) Glowniak, Larry (Anne Wilson) Klaybor, Neil (Selina) Klaybor and Amy (Mark) Harlin.
