James Robert Hurley Sr.

James Robert Hurley Sr., 75, of Myrtle Beach, SC and Fredonia, passed away April 17, 2024 at home in Myrtle Beach.

Born in Dunkirk, January 24, 1949, son of the late Robert and Beatrice (Rosing) Hurley. A graduate of Fredonia High Class of 1967.

James was a past employee of the former Greater Buffalo Press untill its closing, and then former grounds keeper at Shorewood Country Club and 2 Rivers Golf Course in Williamsburg, VA.

Surviving is his wife of 55 years Susan (Sarzyniak) Hurley of Dunkirk, sons Ryan (Valerie) Hurley of NC, James Hurley Jr of Dunkirk, grandchildren Meghan, Jillian of NC, Lucas of Saipan, nieces and nephews also survive.

Preceded by his parents, a son Michael J. Hurley, sister Robin (Tim) Wisniewski.

Private burial was held in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
