Adele Felt
Binghamton –Adele M. Felt, 94, of Binghamton, NY and formerly of Dunkirk and Fredonia, NY passed away at home on December 12. She was born on December 15, 1929 in Dunkirk to Adelbert (George) and Veronica Penkaty. She was a graduate of Dunkirk High School. She and her husband, Don established Felt Fruit Farm in Fredonia, NY. She worked at Saint Columbans Home and it had a fond place in her heart. She was a member of the St. Hyacinth’s choir for many years and enjoyed participating in bible study groups. Adele enjoyed crocheting right up to a few weeks before her death.
Adele was a wonderful wife and mother, and she was treasured by everyone who knew her.
Her faith was a major part of her life as she practiced it daily.
She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years Donald Felt, and her siblings Adrian Penkaty, Jerome Penkaty, and Christine Berdyck.
She is survived by her children Timothy (Patricia) Felt, Gerard (Michelle) Felt, Denise (Stephen) Baxter, and Stephen (Cathy) Felt; grandchildren Brian Felt, Jeffrey Felt, Jacqueline (Felt)Theis, Maureen (Baxter) Robertson, Gregory Baxter, Cody Felt, and Courtney Felt; and 8 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Friends and family are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 9-10 a.m. at R. Mackowiak Funeral Home, Inc.; 56 E. Doughty Street, Dunkirk, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at BMA Church of St. Hyacinth. Interment in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.
