Dolores Elaine Conley Moon
Dolores Elaine Conley Moon, 93, died Wednesday December 4, 2024 at UPMC Chautauqua. She was born October 1, 1931 in Fairmont, West Virginia, daughter of the late Frank O. and Willa M. (Watkins) Conley. Raised in Fairmont, West Virgina, she graduated from Fairmont High School. In 1949 Dolores married Clifford A. Moon in Fairmont, West Virginia. Eventually moving to Washington, PA, where they resided until 1996 when they retired to Oak Run, Ocala, Florida until Cliff’s passing in 2022. The couple were married for 73 years.
Dolores was a homemaker and worked as a manager of The Kard Kiosk for American Greetings in the Washington Mall. Dolores had many interests including tole painting, crocheting and bowling. She loved to travel with friends and visited many countries. Above all, she was a wonderful homemaker, where she lovingly cared for her children and grandchildren with her many talents, always making them comfortable and happy.
Dolores is survived by 2 sons: Kenneth (Cynthia) and Kevin (Judith) Moon and a daughter, Bonnie Moon (Mario Steren): grandchildren: Alex (Lindsey), Emily (Killy) Moe, Cody (Shellie), Abby (Jason) Roberts; great-grandchildren: Liam, Dillon, Joella and Cruz, Ariah, Allison and Jameson, and Novi.
Besides her parents, Dolores is predeceased by her husband, Clifford A. Moon and her brothers: Kenneth and William Conley; and her sister, Betty.
The family sends warm appreciation to the following health care facilities that comforted the family by providing excellent care for Dolores since 2022: The WCA Home, Hultquist Place and Memory Garden at Tanglewood.
