Terry S. Morse
Terry S. Morse, born January 2, 1946, in Dunkirk, NY, passed away on November 27, 2024, in his lifelong hometown of Pomfret, NY. His presence in our lives as a devoted brother, uncle, cousin, and friend will be deeply missed.
Terry was a proud graduate of Brocton Central Schools and furthered his education at Jamestown Business College, where he received a degree in accounting. His dedication to the land was evident, as he was a self-employed grape farmer for his entire life, contributing to the prosperity of Pomfret’s agricultural community.
Before embracing his career in farming, Terry served his country honorably as a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. His bravery in combat was recognized with the Purple Heart, a testament to his courage and spirit.
He was predeceased by his loving parents, Theodore and Louise (Swetland) Morse, his sister Linda Morris, and his brother Jeffrey Morse. Terry leaves behind a legacy of love and memories with his sisters, Anita McClelland and Nancy (Pete) Emerling, his brother, John Morse, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom he cherished. Terry also formed special bonds with his dedicated caretakers, who ensured his comfort and well-being.
Terry’s love for animals and the outdoors was evident, especially the companionship he shared with his beloved dog, Chief.
Relatives and friends may visit Morse Funeral Home 51 Highland Ave. Brocton, NY Friday December 27, 2024 from 10 to 12pm where a funeral service will follow.
Interment to will be in Portland Evergreen Cemetery.
