Brian M Seekings
Dunkirk, NY –Brian M. Seekings, 50, of Dunkirk, formerly of Cassadaga, passed away suddenly, Saturday morning, January 11, 2025 at home. Born on June 14, 1974 in Westfield, husband of Dawn (Boutelle) Seekings and son of Lavern F. Seekings Jr. and Sharon (Lucas) Seekings.
A graduate of Cassadaga High School in 1992, Brian’s passion for baseball flourished during his high school years. He remained an avid fan throughout his life, particularly devoted to the New York Yankees.
For over 20 years, Brian worked as a bus driver for First Student in Fredonia. Before that, he worked at Tops in Dunkirk, serving as a Grocery and Dairy manager.
Brian’s personality was characterized by his good humor, caring nature, and an unwavering positive outlook on life.Brian cherished the moments spent with his children and grandchildren, relishing the time devoted to family gatherings, celebrations, and simple moments of togetherness. His love for sports extended beyond baseball, as he was also a devoted fan of the Buffalo Bills and enjoyed playing XBOX and watching movies during his leisure time.
Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years Dawn (Boutelle) Seekings, whom he married on January 2, 1994. Children Joshua (Amanda), Brett (Jennifer) and Kurtis (Emily Wilson) Seekings; grandchildren Mason, Kaiden, Sterling, Alarik, Stitch and Meliodas Seekings; parents Lavern F. Seekings Jr. and Sharon (Lucas) Seekings; sisters Carol (Scott) Pulver and Carrie (Tom) Barrette.
Preceding Brian are his daughters Jennifer and Shira-ann Seekings; grandparents Lavern F. Seekings Sr. and June G. (Larson) Seekings and Donald G. and Norma J. (Sherman) Lucas.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 2 p.m. at the Lakeshore Assembly of God; 252 E Main St. Westfield, NY.
