David H. Crossley

David H. Crossley, 66 of Sinclairville, passed away unexpectedly, Friday, Jan. 3, 2025 at his home.

Born Mar. 16, 1958 in Jamestown a son of the late Howard and Kathryn Carlson Crossley.

He was a 1976 graduate of Cassadaga Valley Central School.

Dave’s career of serving the safety of the community began at ALSTAR EMS, Jamestown as both an ambulance and Starflight EMT. He then was employed by the Jamestown Fire Department for over 20 years, starting in 1988 as a firefighter, promoted to Lieutenant and was Lieutenant in charge of city code enforcement and part of the Fire Investigation Team. Following his retirement from the department in 2008, he was employed by several municipalities including Towns of Gerry, Ellicott, Villanova and Charlotte as Code Enforcement Officer.

He was a former member of the Jamestown Fire Department Morton Club and Sinclairville VFD.

Dave enjoyed NASCAR (Jeff Gordon and Chase Elliott), helping people out, making and fixing things, music, helping with food prep at the Gerry Rodeo, morning coffee with the crew at Sinclairville Superette and most of all time with his sons and grandsons.

Husband of 19 years to Janet Jordan Crossley, who he married July 4, 2005; father of Brett of Macon, GA and Adam Crossley of Gerry; grandfather of Hunter and Landon Crossley; brother of Jerry (Julie) of Jamestown and Tom Stanton of Maple Springs, John (Liz) Crossley of Sinclairville, Lori (Leo) Jones of Jamestown and Bonnie (Paul) Quesenberry of Raleigh, NC. Also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation Tuesday 3-7 pm. in Jordan Funeral Home, Sinclairville with funeral services Wednesday 11 am at Park Church, 49 Sinclair Dr., Sinclairville.
