Frank Joseph O’Brocta

Born on July 17, 1931 in Dunkirk NY, son of the late Frank J. and Caroline (Augustyn) O’Brocta; and Husband of the late Virginia V. (Rohr) O’Brocta.

Frank graduated from Dunkirk High School in 1950 and enlisted in the United States Army serving in Austria from 1952-1954. After the Army he was employed at the family-owned business, Frank J. O’Brocta Salvage Inc., as co-owner. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who will be dearly missed. He was devoted to his faith in God and a parishioner of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.

Frank is survived by his son Frank J. (Lynn) O’Brocta III of Dunkirk; his daughter Christine K. O’Brocta-Olrogg of Dunkirk; two granddaughters, Justina Rose (Kyle) Huddleston and Samantha Mary (Jeff Peters) Olrogg; one great-grandson, Keith Max Huddleston; One brother, Paul O’Brocta and one sister, Dorothy (George) Wolfe; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Virginia; and his sisters, Marie Majecki, Virginia Buffa; brothers James, Richard and Walter O’Brocta.

In keeping with the wishes of Frank there will be no funeral services. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Frank’s memory to the Chautauqua Hospice and Palliative Care; 20 W Fairmount Ave Lakewood, NY 14750.
