Jean Henderson

She was born November 6, 1946 in Gowanda, NY the daughter of the late Edwin and Pearl (Schmit) Dash.

Jean had worked at Odds and Ends and Ben Franklin’s and at Gabel Bros. Furniture in Gowanda for many years.She was a member of the Randolph American Legion Aux. and the Little Valley VFW Aux.

She was predeceased by her husband Leonard Henderson.

Jean is survived by a son Shane (Jennifer) Henderson of Green Castle, PA, her loving companion of 33 years Thomas Zachewicz and a granddaughter Rachael Henderson.Also surviving is a stepson Randy Henderson of Allegany, NY, a step daughter Brenda Henderson of Jamestown, NY, 2 sisters Caroline Renaldo of FL and Linda Korczak of Arcade,NY, a sister-in-law Rose Dash of Gowanda,NY and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband she was predeceased by a daughter Tammy Jean Henderson, a granddaughter Angel Whire and two brothers Harold Dash and Edwin Dash Jr.

Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 411 Rock City Street in Little Valley,NY on Tuesday January 28, 2025 from 11am-1pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 1pm with Rev. Mike Trenchard,officiating. Burial will be in Jolls Cemetery in Perrysburg, NY

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Judes Hospital.
