FREDONIA: Karen S. Partyka, 66, of Eagle Street, Fredonia, formerly of Forestville, died Sunday, January 5, 2025 at her residence, following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Gowanda on October 5, 1958, the daughter of the late Nelson and Ruth (Peters) Palmer.
She was a graduate of Pine Valley Central School and graduated from JCC with a Degree in Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse. At one time, Karen worked for HOSPICE of Chautauqua County and then retired from Willcare in Fredonia
She loved finding beach glass and spending time with her family.
Survivors include a daughter Meranda (Jeff) Heim, of Forestville, four sisters; Patricia (Bernard) Holland, of South Dayton, Catherine (Phillip) Pagett, of South Dayton, Bonnie (Harlan) Humbert, of Alachua, FL, and Wendy Ernst, of Milton, FL. Also surviving are one grandson, Aydon Heim and several nieces and nephews.
Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Saturday from 2-5 PM. There will be no funeral service observed.
