Kimberly Ann Lawton, 48, born on Dec. 26, 1976, passed away unexpectedly on Jan. 18, 2025. Daughter of Sally Logan and the late Walter C. Lawton Jr.

Kim attended Brocton High School and was busy living life during her time there. While she maintained excellent grades, Kim was a football cheerleader, basketball and softball player. In 1993, Kim and the Brocton Lady Bulldogs won the Far West Class D Softball championship. Following high school, Kim went on to earn a Bachelor’s degree and worked as a Project Manager from home over the years. She also had an entrepreneurial spirit that led her to start several of her own businesses.

Kim was known for her beautiful smile and always willing to lend a helping hand. In her leisure time, she enjoyed bicycling, mountain climbing and taking the family dogs, Bailey and Damian, for long walks. Bailey and Damian were always alongside Kim as they often sat in chairs near her while she worked from home.

Kimberly is survived by her three precious children Shane Murphy, Ciara Murphy and George Meyers; mother Sally Logan; siblings Aaron (Katie) Lawton and Lisa Lawrey; nephews Peyton, Ayden and Bren; nieces Madison and McKenzie. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousins.

Preceding Kim is her father Walter C. Lawton Jr., brother Erick Lawton; paternal grandparents Walter C. Lawton Sr. and Mary Lawton; maternal grandparents Edward and Virginia Logan.

Friends and family are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025 from 4-6 p.m. at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home; 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY. Interment in private.
