Westfield — Peter M. Lozada, 56, of Westfield, passed away Thursday evening, January 23, 2025, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born in Bridgeport, CT, on July 25, 1968, son of the late Pedro and Hilda (Martinez) Lozada.

Peter attended Warren Harding High School in Bridgeport, CT and his career was marked by his strong work ethic and commitment. He worked at notable companies such as Fieldbrook Farms, Carriage House, Cliffstar, and Purina before finding his long-term home at Growers Co-op in Westfield, where he dedicated over 25 years of service.

Outside of work, Peter enjoyed a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He adored walking his beloved dog, Bear, and shared a unique bond with his son, Niko, at the shooting range, indulging his enthusiasm for firearms. He proudly earned a pistol permit in nearly every state, an accomplishment that showcased his dedication to safety and responsibility.

Peter had a passion for music, particularly techno, and held a special admiration for the legendary Billie Holiday. He was also a fan of the UFC and he would often be found wearing his favorite color, black.

Known for his charismatic personality, Peter had a natural ability to connect with others, often striking up conversations with anyone he met and brightening the days of those around him with his infectious smile. His loving and caring nature was evident in all aspects of his life.

Peter is remembered as a loving and devoted father, whose greatest joy was spending time with his family. A proud dad, Peter dedicated himself to fatherhood, creating cherished memories with his children that will live on through them.

Survivors include Peter’s longtime partner, Heidi Gonzalez, children Elena Lozada, Niko Lozada and Izabella (Miguel) Fred; siblings Lori (Jorge) Cruz, Robert (Jennifer) Lozada and Charles (Christina) Lozada; nephews Michael (Tina) Cruz, Jayden Lozada and Anthony Lozada; great-nephews Oliver and Benny.

Friends and family are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Saturday, February 1, 2025 from 3-6 p.m. at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home; 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY. Interment in private.
