Richard Douglas Straight

Rick was born in Dunkirk NY to Harry Straight and Frances Grimes Straight. During high school in Silver Creek NY, Rick was featured as the Observer’s Student of the Week. He was a graduate of Western Michigan University, and he worked many years for Foster Nursery.

Rick was predeceased by his parents and his older sister Sandy. Rick is survived by his brothers Joseph, Dennis, and Gerald, and by his beloved friends, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cats.

His family wishes to thank Rick’s many wonderful nurses and other caregivers, and all his neighbors and friends.

At Rick’s request, there will be no calling hours or service. Private interment will be with his family.
