Don Asa Clement

Don Asa Clement, 86, of Dunkirk, died Sunday, February 2, 2025 at Buffalo General Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. He was born in Dunkirk on September 11, 1938, the son of the late Don and Thelma (Wilcox) Clement.

Don was a graduate of Dunkirk High School, Class of 1959. He worked as a Millwright for Local 66 Carpenters Union of Dunkirk and owned and operated the former Clement Automotive of Dunkirk. Don was a Flagman & Starter at the former Dunkirk Dragstrip and raced with the NHRA. He enjoyed being at the dirt tracks, spending time at the camp with family and loved to travel.

Survivors include a daughter Jody Clement- Smith, of Fredonia and two sons Don (Rhonda Daminski) Clement, Chad Clement, both of Dunkirk. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Allyssa Clement, Don Clement, Jr., Quinten Smith and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Duane Clement.

Friends are welcome to call at Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, 39 Main Street, Forestville on Thursday from 5-8 PM from where funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11 o’clock. Interment will follow in in Forestville Cemetery.
