Maryellen Esther Austin Emmott

Maryellen Esther Austin Emmott, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, February 17, 2025 in Heritage Green, Greenhurst, New York. She was born in Warsaw, New York on August 29, 1928. Maryellen attended Cassadaga Valley Central School and graduated in 1946. She married Carl N. Emmott on April 20, 1947 in the home of her parents in Sinclairville, New York.

Maryellen was a fabulous cook, did hair for ladies in the community, cleaned homes and babysat children. Most notably, she worked summers for many years as the leader of the Sinclairville Recreation grounds. Maryellen was an active member of the Sinclairville Baptist Church.

She is predeceased by her parents, Emma and Lloyd Carpenter, her brothers Rolland Carpenter and Alfred Carpenter, great grandson Timothy Hadley and her dear husband of 70 years, Carl.

She is survived by her brother Larry Carpenter of Dover, Pennsylvania, her three children, Lynda (Lyndon) Hadley of North Vernon, Indiana, David (Dawn) Emmott of Sinclairville, New York and Kathy (John) Meabon of Rochester, New York.

Other survivors are twelve grandchildren, thirty-nine great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.

A memorial service at Sinclairville Baptist Church will be held at a later date.
