Bruce P. Maidel

Bruce lived in Duluth, Georgia most of his life and worked as a tool and die maker for Scientific Atlanta. He got his machinist certification from AJ Wahl in NY, before he left for Georgia. Upon the transfer of Scientific Atlanta to Sysco, he moved back to NYS. He then lived with his sister, Carol Bialaszewski in Cassadaga until 2022, when he moved into a small apartment until his passing.

Bruce loved life and enjoyed meeting and making new friends, including four legged ones! One of his close friends was BJ Swansfeger and her Siberians were a major part of his daily life. Bruce was an avid swimmer and diver. He loved the water and also enjoyed time roller skating. He had a great sense of humor and was always joking around.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents; Paul E. Maidel and Mary Hickey Maidel, his brother: Robert Maidel, his sister: Kathleen Labosky and his ex-wife: Linda Meyer Maidel.

Survivors include his wife, Magddine Maidel, his sister: Carol Bialaszewski of St. Columban’s on the Lake, his son: Bruce R. Maidel, many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a variety of friends. He will be truly missed.

Arrangements are being held privately by the family.
