Ellen T. (Timler) Bald
Dunkirk — Ellen T. (Timler) Bald, 94, formerly of Main Street, Randolph, passed away Thursday March 13, 2025) at the Dunkirk Rehab and Nursing Center.
She was born March 18, 1930 in Buffalo, the daughter of Louis and Adeline (Thousandfriend) Timler.
Ellen was a graduate of Riverside High School in Buffalo and was retired from Randolph Central School, where she was a Senior Account Clerk for 24 years. She was additionally a Home Maker.
She attended the Grace Episcopal Church in Randolph, where served on the Altar Guild and taught Sunday school. She was a member of the NYS United Teachers Association and NYS teacher’s service staff association. Ellen served for years as the treasurer of the RCS Federal Credit Union. She was a dedicated advocate for Special Education. She enjoyed attending concerts and shows, and had a deep and abiding love of her family, friends and her cats.
She is survived by a son; Richard James Bald and wife Kristina of Newark, NY, grandchildren; Emily (Stu) Whitehouse, Sarah (Bob) Humphrey, Adam (Sarah) Bald and great grandchildren; Isabella, Anthony, Lucianna, Emelia, Jacob and Theodore.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Donald I. Bald, two daughters; Janet E. Bald and JoAnne E. Bald and three sisters, Ann Waters, Bertha Wood and Ida Geiger. son-in- law, Philip Campbell.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday (March 19, 2025) from the Chapel at Acacia Park Cemetery in North Tonawanda, NY. The Very Reverend Thomas Broad, will officiate.
The VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph, NY was entrusted with Ellen’s care.
