Nancy Fern (Thorp) Jagoda

Nancy was born in Westfield NY, on March 31, 1961 the daughter of the late Max Deforest Thorp, Sally (Gilbert) Thorp and stepmother Susan Thorp.

Nancy Grew up in Stockton NY attending Cassadaga Schools. As an adult she attended school to become a licensed practical nurse. She spent the majority of her career working with the elderly in skilled nursing facilities. Her compassion and empathy for the residents was apparent to all.

She had a passion for fashion and spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren, that she loved dearly. She will be remembered for her love of the Bills, the Rolling Stones and hanging by the pool with her best friend Mary Carlson.

Nancy is survived by daughter Brooke (Paul) Casey, Sons Frank (Tara) Jagoda lll and Joseph A. Jagoda (Partner Annika Samuelson); Grandchildren Cecilia Jordan, Peyton Jagoda, and Grayson Jagoda.

Our Family Wants to thank all of the doctors, nurses and technicians at Mercy Hospital of Buffalo for all of the wonderful care given to our mother and grandmother.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend Calling Hours on Saturday, March 29, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. at McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home; 736 Central Avenue, Dunkirk, NY. Interment will be held in private.
