Forestville — Ronald F. Gostomski, 86, of Forestville, formerly of Little Valley, died Friday, March 21, 2025 at Brooks Memorial Hospital, Dunkirk.
He was born in Cheektowaga on January 8, 1939, the son of the late Frank and Helen (Blaszak) Gostomski.
Ronald was a graduate of Forestville Central School, Class of 1957 and served in the Army from 1958-1961. He was the owner of the former Ron’s Blacktop Sealer in Little Valley.
Ronald was a member of the Sheridan Memorial VFW Post 6390 and the Samuel L. Derby American Legion Post 556, Frewsburg. He was an avid Buffalo Bills & Sabres fan and enjoyed family time with picnics & parties.
Survivors include wife of 64 years, Nelda (Bartlett) Gostomski of Forestville, whom he married on April 30, 1960 in the former St. Mary’s RC Church, Dunkirk, two daughters Lori (Andrew) Foote, of Spencerport, Sally Minnekine, of Chesterfield, VA, three sons Ronald (Ann) Gostomski, of Palmyra, John (Kim) Gostomski, of Richmond, KY, Scott (Tracy) Gostomski, of Cattaraugus, two sisters Eileen DeJoe, of Morrisville, NC, and Diane Presley, of Palm Bay, FL. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister Rosemary Spears.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady of Mt. Carmel RC Church, Silver Creek at a later date and Interment will be in Sheridan Center Cemetery.
