Star Marie Toy, born on October 15, 1958; passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025. She will be fondly remembered by family and friends for being a strong, truthful woman who always said what was on her mind; how she saw things and living her life her way.
Star enjoyed going to the casinos, playing bingo with her friends and spending time with her loving husband of 24 years while lovingly aggravating the daylights out of him. She was a lifelong fan of the daytime soap opera Young and the Restless which she watched faithfully.
One could always count on her blunt humor and caring heart to get through any situation. Anyone that knew Star surely has a smile when they think of her.
Star is survived by her husband John, whom she loved immeasurably, five children, Andrea Kaus (Patrick), Kelly Rodriguez, John Jr(Mindy)Toy, Chris(Breanna)Toy and David Toy. Her pet parrot Nick will miss her terribly.
Along with her many nieces and nephews, Star also enjoyed spending time with her eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the matriarch of her family and loved for her strength and determination by her siblings, Cindy (Michael) Kuzara, Sandra Davidson, Jim(Sandy) Korzeniewski, Rick(Melissa) Slaven, Andrea Valo and Sue (Ken) Ferry. Also surviving is her stepmother, Sue Korzeniewski.
Star was preceded in death by her parents, Estelle Slaven, and Chuck Korzeniewski.
There will be a celebration of life held later in the year; a date will be determined by family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, New York.
