Evelyn I. Hebner
Evelyn I. Hebner, 82, of Otto, passed away on Friday, April 18, 2025 at Buffalo General Hospital. She was born on May 12, 1942 in Gowanda, daughter of the late Leon and Virgie (Coleman) Marek. On Aug. 4, 1967 she married Mark Hebner, who predeceased her on June 2, 1978.
For 38 years, Evelyn worked in Springville for Robinson Knife, and then would later help the elderly with at-home care for 10 years. She always loved her classic country music, and enjoyed dancing as well. Evelyn also enjoyed the company of her two special dogs, Titan and Emma.
Ms. Hebner is survived by a daughter, Julie Hebner of Cattaraugus; a brother, Charles Marek of Cattaraugus; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Evelyn is predeceased by a brother, David Marek, and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Marek.
Friends may call on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 3-7 pm from Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main St. in Gowanda.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11 am from the funeral home.
Burial will be in Liberty Park Cemetery in Cattaraugus.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
