Franklin W. Matney
Franklin W. Matney, 73, of Swan Street, Dunkirk, passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024 at Buffalo General Medical Center. He was born in Silver Creek on Dec. 22, 1950, the son of the late William and Josephine (Porpiglia) Matney.
Survivors include two daughters, Kelly (Brad) Fanale, Jenna L. Matney; a sister, Janice (Robert) Manning; and a brother, Donald (Judy) Matney. Also surviving are his previous wife and current companion Bonnie F. Orchard, seven grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, April 12, 2025 from the Samuel Cimino VFW Post, 13 N. Main St., Silver Creek at 2 p.m..
The family suggests memorials may be made to Chautauqua County Rural Ministry, 319 Washington Ave., Dunkirk, NY 14048. Arrangements are by Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.
