Paula K. (Rossotto) Malkowski, 69, of Dunkirk, passed away suddenly, Tuesday, April 8, 2025 at home. Born in Dunkirk on July 3, 1955, wife of the late Donald J. Malkowski, Jr. and daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Rossotto.
A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Paula attended Dunkirk High School and graduated in 1974. Paula dedicated many years of her life as a Teacher’s Aide in Special Education at BOCES, where her nurturing spirit and dedication to her students shone brightly.
Her warm and loving personality was a beacon of light for those who knew her. She had a unique gift for conversation and could effortlessly engage with anyone.
Paula found great happiness in spending time with her grandchildren, family, and friends. The moments shared with loved ones brought her immense joy and fulfillment. She also enjoyed walking along the beach, where collecting beach glass became a beloved pastime. Paula has dedicated her life to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and through her prayers and faithfulness, she has encouraged the faith of others.
Surviving Paula includes her children Jamie Waclawski Sr., Ronette Waclawski, Dustin and Shane Malkowski; grandchildren Brooklynn Waclawski, Jarrett Waclawski, Jamie Waclawski, Jr., Kaison Malkowski, Carmine Malkowski, and Saige Malkowski; siblings Frank “Butch” Rossotto and Sandra (Rossotto) Shields.
Graveside Services will be held on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Sheridan. Arrangements by McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home, 736 Central Ave., Dunkirk, NY.
