BUFFALO BILLS: Having another shot at the Chiefs

For some Buffalo Bills fans, Sunday night cannot get here fast enough. At 6:30 p.m. that evening, the team that so many here attach their emotions to hopes to reach its fifth Super Bowl in franchise history.

It will not be easy. Standing in the way is two-time defending champion Kansas City that has handled Buffalo all three previous meetings in the playoffs since 2021.

This Bills’ team, however, seems different. It is much more cohesive, unselfish and rarely becomes rattled under the leadership of quarterback Josh Allen. That was not the case in previous years — that likely led to some division that was displayed publicly and privately.

In championship games, the Bills are 1-2 against the Chiefs — losing in 1967 and again in 2021. Their lone win came in 1994 – the last time the Bills made it to the Super Bowl.

This year’s Bills have the ability. They can prove it to the nation this weekend.
