In a best of three series, the Westfield 10-12 Sanctioned All-Stars softball team took home the District 38 title with a 19-6 win over Dunkirk.

Dunkirk took the early lead in the top of the first inning, with three runs off two big hits, including a double by Ashlynn Delcamp. Westfield answered back with 15 runs in the bottom half of the inning and never looked back.

Westfield was led at the plate in the hot-hitting performance by Drew Ernewein and Sydney Hotchkiss, who each doubled and singled, as well as Eva Gnadzinski, who doubled and drove in three runs in the big inning. Mackenzie Schumaker and Gnadzinski combined for only three hits allowed, with nine strikeouts.
