DOMINANT. If things go as predicted here, the Buffalo Bills will take a nearly insurmountable lead in the AFC East this weekend.

A victory over visiting Miami Sunday will give the streaking Bills a 7-2 record. The corresponding Dolphin defeat will drop them to 2-6. Add expected losses by New England to Tennessee Sunday and the New York Jets Thursday to Houston, and the Bills will be riding high and nearing a fifth straight divisional crown. The Pats and Jets will both be 2-7. That’s a gaping 4.5-game lead at the season’s midpoint.

It won’t be easy, though. The Dolphins will have their starting quarterback back for a second straight weekend, and should be competitive at Highmark Stadium. The Bills have won 12 of the last 13 meetings between the longtime rivals.
